Happy Campers

About Happy Campers

Happy Campers is a family run campervan hire company based in the heart of Essex. Our small fleet of characterful vans is situated within easy reach of the coast, the capital and the wilds of the East Anglian countryside, and lovingly looked after by sister and brother Sal Norris and Nik Rawlinson.

Sal Norris
Sal is a qualified special needs teacher and former deputy head. She’s been a lifelong fan of campervans, and very much considers herself Floyd’s mum. She’s the mother of two young children, so she understands what makes for a great holiday with kids, and her boys consider themselves the coolest kids in class on account of spending so many weekends out and about exploring the Essex countryside in their camper.
Nik Rawlinson
Nik loves nothing better than getting out and about in Delia, taking her far and wide in search of the perfect photo, often at the end of a long, leisurely walk. His idea of heaven? A campervan by the coast, with the kettle on the go and the door slid right back on a view of the sea. When not messing around in campers, he spends his time writing books, having spent the previous fifteen years editing magazines. That’s Oscar on his lap.

As you can tell, we really love our camper vans, and we love campervan holidays, which start as soon as you arrive. You can kick back and relax with a drink, freshly brewed on your own gas stove, or plucked from Floyd’s built-in cool box, and watch the tent people flap.

Our vans are kitted out and ready to go, complete with kettle, sink, cutlery and crockery. All you need to bring are your clothes and bedding (we can provide these for an additional fee if required, but we’d really recommend bringing a sleeping bag as it’s so simple).

Delia and Floyd each sleep four, and with the addition of an awning or tent they are the ideal hub for a larger family holiday. The hardest decision is which one you want to make your home on the road…
